As a Military Outreach Volunteer for our New Jersey Committee for the Guard and Reserve your visits to National Guard Armories and Reserve Centers through out our Garden State are critical to the overall readiness of our reserve forces. You provide the crucial link in keeping 17,000 plus, Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen with the information they need to be both productive professionally trained employees and Citizen Warriors. This cannot happen without your periodic visits to the Armories and Reserve Centers through out our state. Your visits will help to keep them in compliance with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act (USERRA).
Military Outreach volunteers keep our Citizen Warriors and their employers Informed about the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), help them Recognize employers who practice personnel policies that support their employee’s participation in the National Guard and Reserve and serve as a resource for our Citizen Warriors by providing them with Mediation by professional trained Ombudsmen ready to assist both employers and the Guardsmen and Reservists they employ to remain in compliance with USERRA Law.
